If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.2 Chronicles 7:13 - 14
Who are you? The answer doesn’t really matter as much as the answer to the question “Who’s are you?” The truth is that power belongs to the source you are connecting to on a regular basis. Much like the electricity or battery that powers your computer or your phone, once it runs out or turns off, your device useless. It still exists but it can’t do what it was designed to do. God’s people must remember that only He is able to provide, empower, heal, and deliver us. If we then humble ourselves and pray, seeking Him and turning away from all that displeases Him, He alone will make things right. We have the power He gave us. A power to ask Him to heal our land and to know that He will, because we belong to Him.
Make time to put away anything that is drawing you away from God. Focus on seeking Him and finding ways to serve Him in every circumstance and situation. He will hear us, forgive us and heal our land even in times of great distress. We are His and He always provides the answer to our troubles.
